BIG ANT Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a valued client in the education sector to recruit a highly organised and compassionate SEND Administrator to support their school team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
Working closely with the SENDCo and wider school team, this role is central to ensuring pupils receive the support, care and administrative coordination they need to succeed.
We're looking for someone who combines strong administration skills with empathy, resilience and a calm, flexible approach.
The role
As SEND Administrator, you'll provide vital day-to-day support to the school's SEND provision, ensuring records, communications and processes are managed efficiently, professionally and confidentially.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the SENDCo with the coordination of pupil care provision
- Maintaining accurate pupil records, profiles and school data systems
- Managing EHCP administration and supporting the annual review process
- Coordinating appointments, meetings, correspondence and school visits
- Liaising with parents, carers, colleagues and external professionals
- Producing reports and pupil data as required
- Taking accurate meeting minutes and maintaining organised filing systems in line with GDPR requirements
- Supporting the wider administration of the school's management information systems
- Handling day-to-day queries and ensuring information is shared appropriately
- Providing general clerical and administrative support to the SEND function
About you
We're keen to hear from candidates who bring:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within education or SEND environments
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- The ability to communicate confidently and sensitively with both adults and young people
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Confidence working in environments where challenging behaviour may be present
- A strong understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and professional boundaries
- A good sense of humour and the resilience to manage competing priorities
Why apply?
This is far more than a traditional administration role.
It's an opportunity to become part of a setting where your organisation, compassion and professionalism will directly support young people's development and wellbeing.
If you're someone who enjoys purposeful work, values structure and organisation, and wants to contribute to an environment that genuinely changes lives, we'd love to hear from you.
