My client is currently seeking a 32.5 hours a week, Accounts Assistant to support the finance department by handling daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, organisation, and knowledge of accounting procedures.

Role responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
  • Prepare financial documents and reports
  • Support payroll processing when required
  • Monitor expenses and budgets
  • Handle petty cash and expense claims
  • Assist with tax preparation and audits
  • Enter financial data into accounting software
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding payments

Person Specification:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
