People Coordinator - Recruitment & Engagement
Are you the kind of person who loves connecting people with the right opportunities? Do you get a buzz from making sure someone's first day at work feels like the start of something great? Then this role might just have your name on it.
We're on the lookout for a People Coordinator to join a busy, friendly People Team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be right at the heart of recruitment and onboarding - from writing job adverts that stand out, to welcoming new starters and making sure their journey is smooth from day one. You'll also play an active part in supporting the wider HR team to deliver the People strategy - helping to enhance the colleague experience and contribute to big-picture business goals.
What you'll be doing:
-
Managing the whole recruitment process, from advert to offer (and everything in between)
-
Coordinating interviews and making sure candidates feel supported every step of the way
-
Handling all the pre-employment checks and paperwork (yes, the important but less glamorous side too!)
-
Creating engaging induction programmes that make people feel at home from the get-go
-
Tracking probation reviews and supporting managers to keep everything on track
-
Supporting the wider HR team with projects and initiatives that drive engagement, development, and retention
-
Playing your part in delivering the People strategy - shaping a brilliant colleague experience and supporting business success
What we're looking for:
-
Experience in recruitment - you know how to run a smooth process and spot great talent
-
Organised, proactive, and able to juggle priorities without breaking a sweat
-
A natural communicator - confident, approachable, and able to work with people at all levels
-
Discreet and professional when it comes to sensitive information
-
Someone who takes pride in delivering a great candidate and colleague experience
-
Comfortable using recruitment/HR systems and digital tools
Bonus points if you've got a CIPD Level 3 (or are working towards it), or experience in broader HR projects like engagement or development. But if you've got the skills and the attitude, we'd love to hear from you regardless.
What's in it for you:
-
A permanent role in Newton Abbot with a salary between £26,500 and £29,500 (depending on experience)
-
The chance to be part of a supportive, collaborative team who genuinely enjoy what they do
-
Opportunities to shape and improve how recruitment, onboarding and HR support is done, making your mark in a growing business
If you're passionate about people, love variety in your day, and want to play a key role in making sure colleagues have the best start possible - this could be the perfect fit
