BIG ANT Group are seeking a Highways Maintenance Operative to join the team at SWISCo.
The role will include working as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, ranging from Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways and General Highway Maintenance. You will be responsible for setting up ahead of works being carried out; laying cones and erecting signage whilst following health & safety procedures to ensure the safety of the public as well as yourself and your colleagues.
You may be required to drive the vehicles / operate machinery; therefore a driving licence and supporting tickets will be of benefit to your application.
Essential Skills:
- Driving License required, ideally clean some points accepted.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Ability to carryout physical duties, heavy lifting and work outdoors in all weathers.
- CSCS Card preferred
Desirable Skills:
- Highways experience.
- Traffic Management / New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) / similar tickets preferred
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 15:30, finishing at the earlier time of 3pm on Fridays. Offering 37 hours per week.
