School Maintenance Caretaker (Industrial)

Big Ant Group are currently working with a School located in the Paignton area of Torbay.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar setting and experience amongst some of the following:
- Use of Hand-Tools
- General DIY skills
- Painting
- Basic Carpentry
- Knowledge of Basic Electrics
- Basic gardening duties
- Replenishing soaps / hand towels etc
- Some cleaning works

We are keen to find someone who enjoys manual work and fault-finding. You will need to use your initiative to ensure the School is kept a safe environment if repairs are not able to be carried out instantly. Heavy lifting may be involved as you may be required to make repairs to furniture or fit doors. This role will be crucial to maintaining student and staff safety at all times, carrying out regular site checks and repair work. 

This is a part-time position offering 15 hours per week and you would be working from 3pm-6pm, Monday to Friday. Initially, the requirement is on a temporary basis for 4-6 weeks, however could lead into permanent work for the right candidate.

You will be required to carryout an induction. It is key that you are comfortable working independently, can communicate to Management any larger problems and are a trustworthy individual who is able to manage their time effectively.

As you will be working around Children, an enhanced DBS check is required.
