School Cleaner - Part Time (Industrial)

BIG ANT Group are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaner to join a small team of Cleaners at a School in the Preston area of Paignton.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the premises. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with a keen eye for detail, ensuring environments are hygienic, safe, and welcoming. We are looking for a trustworthy individual who will also fulfil the responsibility of a key-holder.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to secure a permanent position following successful completion of 12 weeks via BIG ANT Group.

The start date for this role will be Monday 23rd February and interviews will take place week commencing 9th February.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 15:00-18:15 during term time. This will be a total of 16.25 hours per week and you will be required to support with deep-cleans in some school breaks.

The successful applicant must undergo an Enhanced DBS Check or be able to provide a Certificate Number assigned to the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure premises are locked and secure following completion of your duties.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas.
• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, and other sanitary fixtures to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty and change bins, following company policies for waste disposal.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure a safe working environment at all times, clearing any spillages promptly.
• Work efficiently within allocated timeframes to complete daily cleaning schedules.
