BIG ANT Recruitment is thrilled to be working with a well-known Football Club in the South West to find their next Facilities Operative. Are you a hands-on, proactive individual ready to help maintain the home of football excellence?

We're on the lookout for someone handy, reliable, and full of pride in their work to help keep our Club’s facilities running smoothly – across multiple sites.
You won’t just be behind the scenes – you’ll be right at the heart of the action, helping to create a safe, welcoming space for our fans, players, and staff. Not just on matchdays, but every single day.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
🔧 You know your way around tools – from leaky taps to wobbly doors, you’re confident fixing things.
🦺 You’re safety-conscious and always one step ahead.
🧠 You’re a problem-solver – practical, calm, and quick to act.
👀 You spot the little things others might miss.
📣 And you’re great at staying organised and keeping people in the loop.
What you'll be doing:

General repairs and upkeep to keep everything in top nick.

Supporting matchdays – setting up and packing down equipment.

Carrying out inspections and sorting issues before they become problems.

Travelling between club sites – from our warehouse at Haxter Court to the famous Millennium Street pitches.
You’ll need a full driving licence and your own wheels – this role gets around a bit!
What helps:
📚 GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
🎓 A qualification in a trade – plumbing, electrics, maintenance.
✅ Health & Safety certification – always a bonus.
🚗 A clean driving licence – as mentioned, you’ll be mobile.
Hours & Flexibility:
It’s 35 hours a week over 5 days – but you’ll need to be flexible. Evening games, weekend work, and the occasional 6- or 7-day week may pop up. Don’t worry – you’ll get time back afterwards. And this starts off as a temp role, with the chance to go permanent if it’s a good fit.
