My client is looking Design Engineer is responsible for creating, developing, and improving products, systems, or structures by applying engineering principles and design techniques.
A Design Engineer plans and designs products or systems using technical knowledge, creativity, and software tools. They ensure designs meet functional, safety, and cost requirements while complying with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design new products, components, or systems
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Conduct research to understand project requirements and constraints
- Test and evaluate prototypes for performance, safety, and durability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, project managers)
- Modify and improve existing designs based on feedback or testing results
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
- Strong knowledge of design principles and engineering concepts
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
