7.5 Tonne Flytruck Driver (SWISCo)

BIG ANT Group are currently looking for an LGV Driver to join the Street Cleansing team at SWISCo in Paignton.

We are looking for someone to support with litter bin collections and changes in the Torbay area. You will be responsible for emptying the litter bins across the Bay and the larger containers utilised by the street orderly operatives. You will be working as part of a wider team to keep the bay clean and tidy. You will also be required to support with some operative duties as well as Flytipping clearances.

This position will involve physical work, primarily lone-working. Therefore, we are looking for motivated individuals who are happy to work in all weathers who enjoy manual roles. Our vacancy may also be perfect for someone who typically drives Class 2 vehicles and would like to work more locally in a smaller wagon. 

Applicants must hold a Drivers CPC as well as the Category C1 licence / 7.5 Tonne licence. Due to changes in legislation, drivers of this category cannot drive this size vehicle in a working capacity without the CPC in place.

Working hours will be Saturday to Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday being allocated rest-days. You will be required to work from 14:00-22:00 Saturday to Tuesday and 14:00-21:30. Totalling 37 hours per week.
Following successful completion of assignment with BIG ANT, SWISCo are looking to offer long-term employment. Once you are transferred to SWISCo, they will offer annualised hours, therefore you will work longer / later hours during the summer months and shorter hours during the darker winter months.
