Grounds Maintenance Operative Level 3 - Green spaces and Highways

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make Torbay a greener, more beautiful place to live, work, and play? We are supporting SWISCo who are looking for someone who is a passionate and hardworking individuals to join their Ground Maintenance Team, ensuring our Highways, parks and open spaces are looking their absolute best!

What You'll Be Doing:
Working with a friendly team of up to 5, guided by our Grounds Maintenance Team Manager and Team Leaders.
Mowing, strimming, leaf blowing, and hedge cutting with handheld tools.
Weeding, and rejuvenating our highways and parks.
Driving vans and possibly tractors, keeping them clean, tidy, and ready for action.
Providing friendly, helpful service to the public who truly appreciate your efforts.
Moving across various sites in Torbay and tackling a variety of tasks.

Specialist Responsibilities:
Taking on tasks requiring higher expertise and experience, including:

• Good understand of Health & Safety when working in the community and on Highways
• Highways and Parks maintenance to keep our fields in top condition.
• Use of robotic mowers, and driving specialised licenced plant and machinery
• Good working knowledge of power tools
