Our Saltash based client is looking for a confident, polite, physically fit, enthusiastic, customer focused person to join their family run business.

The successful candidate would ideally hold a Forklift and sideloader licence but this is not essential, as training will be provided, but you must hold a driving licence.  As you will be operating forklifts and machinery for insurance purposes you must be over 18 years of age.

The successful candidate must be smart in appearance and be able to work as part of a team.

The main duties of the role include:

Ensuring loads are correctly pulled and ready to leave the warehouse on time

Cutting steel to size using equipment provided

Packaging parcels for delivery by courier

Using forklift/sideloader/crane to load and unload lorries and customer vehicles

Advising relevant colleague of shortage of stock

Serving customers with their requirements

Stacking steel correctly, safely and tidily

Keeping your designated section of the warehouse tidy

The ideal candidate will be physically fit as the post will involve lifting items up to 25 kgs, have basic mathematics and English skills, have excellent organisation skills and be flexible.

The working shift is Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm plus overtime as required, with one hour break.
